Brush twice a day, most important being brushing right before bedtime to minimize acid attack which happens during the night.
Avoid starchy and sweet snacks in between meals which not only keeps your weight under check but reduces the susceptibility to tooth decay. Instead consume fibrous foods like fruits, salads etc.
Avoid colas and other soft drinks. The acid content in the soft drinks demineralises and erodes the enamel which never comes back.
Children should be encouraged to consume milkb without sugar especially at bedtime. Make sure your children brush their teeth before bedtime.
It is absolutely important to have regular six monthly check ups with a dental professional for you and your family.
