Oral cancer in any form can be a mutilating experience after the surgeries are performed which involves extensive removal of teeth and their supporting tissues. A large number of cases have been rehabilitated by Dr Mathur which involved fabricating removable appliances (obturators) to cover maxillary defects. Although a constant recall for evaluation of fit and comfort is necessary a lot of patients have been benefited in terms of speech, mastication, swallowing and esthetics.
